Elisa Gelewski, was born in Coburg in 1974. She studied dance and drama in Hamburg and has subsequently qualified as a Feldenkrais Practitioner. She currently lives and works as an artist and environmental activist in Berlin. Her work includes women’s issues, ecological politics and spiritual themes. Also included in her work are researches into matriarchy, climate change, protection of the environment and shamanism. A further aspect is the development and production of short films, radio plays and theatre projects in support of the environment, including street art performances and installations.
She has 15 years’ experience as a professional actress and dancer in German theatre and television. Her experience also includes film projects in Germany and South Africa.
In 2008, she won the runner-up prize in the ‘Frauen Leben Vielfalt‘ competition for the projects ‘Menschenketten gegen Kettensägen’ and ‘Baumfeen verteilen Baumsamen’. The prize was awarded by Christine von Weizsäcker.
In 2010, she founded The ARTEMIS Project, a society for art and the environment. As director, she is leading an environmental regeneration project in Turkey, under the title of Hayat Life Forest. Further to this, in 2013 she started an NGO in Turkey called ‘ARTEMİS – Çevre, Insan ve Havanları Koruma Dernegi’ which she also leads.
 
Ellen Erdil, was born 1951 in Germany, she is married with Doc. Dr. Güven Erdil and has one daughter. She is now living in Istanbul but during the summermonths from June until November will be in Bodrum. She speaks fluent German, Turkish, English and French.
She is a retired teacher with 30 years of experiences working in different schoolsystems and levels in Germany, Turkey and in the Europeen School of Brussels in Belgium.
She is now engaged in the family run “Lena Erdil Windsurf Center” in Ortakent /Bodrum and has numerous local and international connections to people in and around Bodrum.
Her function in the association ARTEMİS Derneği is in Public Relations and Consultant.
 
Doris Joho, born in 1952 in Switzerland, is single, now retired and living in Bodrum Turkey since 2002. She is fluent in German, English, French, Italian and speaks some Turkish.
Her background lies in the Travel Business, Hotel and Restaurant coaching, Personnel Management and she is the author of hand books on hygiene for hotels and restaurants.
In Bodrum she dedicates her life to cats, having volunteered for several years at a Veterinary Clinic. Her aim is to sterilize as many cats male and female as she can. She is currently careing for a cat community of about 60 cats, feeding them, and givinge them medical attention as well. Up to now, she has financed all this by herself.
To communicate a better understanding for animals, it is essential to teach the children to respect all living creatures, and to be aware of animals who are suffering.
 
Rosemary Tramantano-Niaki, is originally from New York and worked primarily in Fashion as a Model, Designer or Stylist. She moved to Turkey in 1983 and worked with several Major Turkish Companies in Istanbul until 1991 when she moved to Bodrum.
She has been working in Animal rescue in Turkey since 1992 when we formed the Bodrum Animal welfare Organization. She has been rescuing, caring for, training, rehabilitating, and rehomeing from her house in Yalikavak.
Besides rescuing, she has also a summer job with Mica Ertegun who owns Macll a well known New York interior design company.
In our association ARTEMİS Derneği she will be the Head of projects in dog welfare.
 
Manuel Inacker, was born 1989 in Siegen, Germany, Manuel currently holds a Bachelor`s Degree in Social Sciences. He has lived and worked in Australia, Turkey and Germany. Manuel currently lives in Berlin and studies Filmmaking at the Film University Babelsberg and engages himself as a freelance filmmaker and journalist.
His function in the association ARTEMİS Derneği is to shoot image trailers and a documentation.
